A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as a Layout Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the overall design of our projects. You will leverage your strong CAD skills, preferably in NX, to create and manage 3D models that accurately reflect the combined input from various engineering disciplines. Your attention to detail and structured approach will ensure that all layout drawings meet project requirements and support customer planning for foundations, buildings, and utilities. Collaborating closely with project teams and customers, you will contribute to successful project execution while continuously learning and developing your knowledge of our products and engineering processes. This role is based in Finspång, and you will need to be present on-site, with some flexibility required for business travel to visit customers as needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will utilize your CAD expertise to create and manage detailed 3D models, ensuring alignment with mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Collaborate effectively with project teams and customers to produce layout drawings that facilitate early-stage planning and site preparation activities.
• Maintain a structured approach to ensure that the layout remains aligned with project requirements throughout the lifecycle, adapting as necessary.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration within an international environment to prevent design clashes and ensure cohesive project execution.
• Contribute to building a long-term engineering support capability that enhances our Layout Engineering team in Finspång.

What You Bring

• A University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in gas turbines, power generation, or oil and gas sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in 3D CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred) and PLM systems (ideally Teamcenter).
• Strong technical skills in mechanical systems design, steel structure design, and project management.
• Advanced English proficiency for effective intercultural communication and collaboration.
• Attention to detail, structured working style, and excellent communication skills to engage with diverse teams and customers.
• Willingness to learn about our products and engineering processes, with flexibility for business travel as needed.

About the Team

The team currently consist of 12 engineers from different parts of the world and with different backgrounds.

We help each other to build a strong technical knowledge within the team and take joint responsibility to reach our goals.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
